WILLY TOLEDO
Willy Toledo's musical journey began as a teenager studying at the Puerto Rican Culture Institute in Lares, P.R., and the Free School of Music in Arecibo, P.R. No matter what he was learning, Toledo was constantly driven to succeed through his passion for music. Toledo graduated from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in general psychology and a double minor in music and marketing. Not satisfied with the “9-to-5” lifestyle, Toledo honed his skills as a live performer in numerous bands around the island of Puerto Rico.
Toledo started touring with the metal rock band Tierra De Nadie before he broke into the United States with the alternative rock band Kamaleon in 2002; they notably performed at the Bayside Amphitheather in Miami, Florida and on the musical program “Planeta Rock,” on the Telemundo Network. Just three months after moving to the United States, Toledo began touring New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia with the various experimental rock bands. In early 2006, Toledo answered an ad for a new bass player for the pop-rock group Tasting Grace and began a new chapter in his musical sojourn.
